Week Ninety: 5/11/2015 to 5/17/2015--That's More Like it :)

Friends and Family,

This week was just miles better than last week. We found 5 new investigators and they're all pretty solid. I'm super excited to see them keep progressing. One of my favorite experiences we had this week occurred right after we got back from a very inspiring Zone Conference on Tuesday.

We ate dinner then went over to the Family Mart to make calls on the payphone, but when we got there, I realized I forgot the sheet with the numbers of all our contacts at home. Nightmare. We rushed back to our house to get it, then when we got back, the other elders were at the family mart making calls, so we kept going to get to a 7-11 a little ways past the family mart. We stopped at the light and I rode up to the only guy who was contactable. I just said "Ni hao ma?" and he proceeded to tell me his grandfather had just died the previous night and that he wasn't feeling too good. We went with him to the side of the road and had a good conversation. He said he was really grateful that we'd taken the time to talk to him and said he'd be interested in hearing about our beliefs after he had taken care of all the funeral stuff. It was just such a testimony to me that God really knows where we need to be at what time. I was kind of stressed out that we had gotten out of Zone Conference late and then we had to go home and get the calling sheet and then that the other elders had unintentionally taken our place, but God had a plan.

There have been many other similar experiences this week. Our main investigators at the moment are Zixuan and Travis. Zixuan wants to be a rock star. He's got the look down. He walked in the first time we met him in skinny black pants covered in chains and straps and half of his hair dyed pink. He's not super confident. He's still trying to build his faith in Christ, but he's struggling with putting forth much effort. He really likes to talk when he's with us and he came to church on Sunday, but has yet to do much on his own. I really hope he starts reading the scriptures. He's been struggling with that.

Travis' family owns a burger shop we eat at quite a bit. He's awesome. Super nice, super funny. He acts like an active member, reading conference on his iphone and whatnot. He's been investigating over a year and finally decided he wants to get baptized in June, so we're helping him get prepped for that. His sister will be baptized shortly following so we're SUPER pumped!

I hope everything's going well in all the places you all are. Wish you a fantastic week! More adventures and miracles to come!
